So I went to the Red Sox World Series Championship rally today. Good times. Got to shake hands with Mike Lowell, Julio Lugo and Alex Cora. Didn’t really see the parade per se, but we were right where everyone was getting on so I got to see everyone walk by. Camera settings were a little frustrating, not used to being outside with it. Glare was kind of killing me, but what can you do? Anyway, here are some of the pics, sponsored by the DirecTV blimp!

Went to the Patriots/Browns game yesterday. It was fun. Pats won even though they didn’t really play as well as they could have. Great to see Rodney Harrison back on the field. I managed to sneak down to field level during warm ups and got some really great shots using the 75-300mm lens. I don’t think I took the 18-55mm lens out once yesterday. I am surprised at how well these came out considering the lens is only a stock lens and does not have the image stabilization some of the other Canon lens have. I guess the 30D processor makes up for some of that. I never thought I’d say this, but I almost would have rather had the Sony 717 simply for the glass, because the shots came in much clearer than they are with these lens. Unfortunately, I need a new computer and POSSIBLY a flash before I can drop the cash on the next lens I want, which I believe is the 28-135 mm with IS and auto focus. I don’t know if I will get that or the Speedlite 530 flash first. They run about the same price, so we’ll see.
Anyway, here are a bunch of the 300+ pics I took. Enjoy.

So I joined this bad-boy, mostly so I could leave comments on Curt Schilling’s blog, but I guess it never hurts to have a blog. I used to do one on LiveJournal but that is long since dead and buried. I’m going to post pictures I have personally taken from Red Sox games since Red Sox fans may or may not end up reading this if they click on my post.
I will hopefully have some new ones on Wednesday, since I have tickets to see Daiskue Matsuzaka pitch his first game at Fenway Park. SICK! Be warned that I very affectionately refer to him as “the Jap,” so if you read that and get offended, don’t. So anyway, here are some pics from Red Sox games I have been to. The one’s in the red uniforms are from Spring Training of ’04 and the ones in their greys are from Tampa Bay in July of ’05. Couldn’t make it down to Tampa Bay, Miami or up to Atlanta for games last year (since I was still living in Jacksonville, FL at the time). I did, however, get to go see the Los Angeles Dodgers of Boston play their AA team, so some pics of Nomah and Mueller are there too…
